While the store has a decent selection and decent prices I would only use it from now on as a last resort. Woefully understaffed. 10-15 minute waits at the checkout. Sales staff must be commissioned as they are unhelpful unless they KNOW you're going to make a purchase. Would not spend the time to help size a ski boot. Had to escalate to a manager to have a brand new ski binding repaired (sold to us by SportChek) - resulted in 4 return trips to have sizing and improperly installed hardware corrected. The staff are nice kids, but are not trained professionals and only have a basic understanding of the items they sell. I get the feeling they are paid to sell only some high ticket items. For technical items like shoes, skis or bikes you're much better off dealing with a specialty shop who have a better knowledge of their products and services.
Had a great experience with Ali at Atmosphere. She was very knowledgeable at identifying our requirements for a winter trip to Banff. She made multiple suggestions for a pair of 3 layer jackets and insulated pants. She suggested products that were on special and took the time to explain the features and advantages. Although the store was busy we felt like a top priority. I highly recommend dealing with Ali if your looking for tailored suggestions for your outdoor needs!
Pretty standard Sport Chek. Clean and bright with a ton of selection. It's in the mall so there's free parking and you can do other shopping or get lunch at the food court as well. One downside of this location was I found it hard to find someone to help me.
This is a very large Spot Chek with Atmosphere store upstairs. They always seem to have a very good selection of sizes when we shop here. Check out there discount rack as well as they always have a lot to choose from at great prices. They seem to have a bit of everything for your sporting needs.
