Good store, good selection, a little cramped and for the most part pretty snotty cashiers. I know a fair bit about beer and I've never really been treated as anything more than an infant. Could be that I'm not 23 with purple hair and several facial piercings that I get treated like an old unhip person but it's never a great practice for any retail establishment to let that kind of arrogance run amok in your staff.
My last time at this liquor store, I bought every week there for at least 6 years. My son used to come with me trying to find the most expensive wine ,liquor. Tonight he came with me. The cashier asked to see his ID even if he had nothing in his hand. He is 17, I said to the cashier he was my son and he was with me. The cashier insisted to see his ID. My son went out of the store thinking there is a minimum age to be inside. A second cashier came and explained to me they have the right to asked him his ID. I let my buy right there. Starting now instead to buy after my grocery, I'll buy after work at Vessel on Fort and Oak Bay. I am now a member give me discount on each buy. .
Fair prices and well knowledged staff.Has great selection.However it is a bit tight to move around in.Still its one if my first choices for local beer.
Love the staff and selection. Free ice to all customers if you need it.
