The owner/salesman was very helpful, and there is a variety of furniture styles available. A bit pricey, but seemed like good quality stuff.
Be very careful and do not pay for your furniture in advance! I ordered two chairs in a certain colour of wood and leather. The wrong colour arrived and I did not accept the order. The manager phoned and screamed filthy abuse such as I have never heard in real life before, and he refused to change my order or refund the several thousand dollars we had paid. After discussions with lawyers and an employee there we were sent the chairs in the correct colour but now the wrong size. I can't face being sworn and shouted at again so will live with the wrong chairs -- but I do warn future customers to avoid attacks by the manager and never pay until the correct furniture arrives.
Standard furniture is by far the worst experience I have ever had while purchasing $3,700 worth of furniture. We were given the floor model after waiting 6 weeks for what was supposed to be a new chair from the manufacturer Natuzzi in Italy. My receipt stated an estimated 16 weeks for it to arrive. The manager called and lied saying the manufacturer had an early shipment special. The other two pieces were also floor models even though a discount was applied, we were told the discount was for making the purchase that same day for all 3 items. The store tag was found in the chair which we picked up at the warehouse. When we approached the manager, Marc Samar, at the store, he denied everything and claimed it was a new chair and not the floor model. I also have photos of us sitting on the floor model and can prove the same chair was sold to us by unique characteristics not to mention the tag. The worst part was being lied to and having to wait 6 weeks for furniture that shouldve been ours from day one. A discount shouldve been offered since we paid full price for a floor model. We have since purchased over $12,000 worth of Timothy Oultin furniture from Luxe - a much better store with better staff. I will never go back to Standard furniture and I tell everyone that is shopping to not go there.
I went to Standard furniture today (August 6, 2018) and was interested in Natuzzi Italia Tratto sofa which they had on a BLOWOUT PRICE of $2,999.00 for the floor model. In the picture it shows the regular price is $5,999.00 (grade 15 leather). I decided to shop around and I phoned Ashley Furniture in Coquitlam and there regular price is $3,430.00 (for grade 15 leather) and for the month of August there is an additional 10% off. The sale price is $2915.00. They only have white in stock but I can order it in another colour for the sale price of $2915.00. I then called Marc the Manager at Standard Furniture and ask if I ordered another colour (same grade leather 15) what would be the price. His reply was $5999.00. Even paying the shipping cost from Vancouver that is half the price of what Standard Furniture is charging.UPDATE - AUGUST 8, 2018In my original post I had 4 pictures. One picture showed the Original price $5,999.00 the Sale price of $3999.00 and the Blowout price of $2999.00 (Floor Sample). That and other pictures was removed from my posting.
